An American scientific voyage
to the freezing wastes of the Antarctic is broken up by a group of apparently
mad Norwegians tracking and shooting a dog. The helicopter tracking the dog bursts
out, ultimately leaving no clarification for the chase. During the night, the dog
changes, attacks other dogs in the cage and members of the team that
investigate. The team soon recognizes that an alien life-form with the capability
to take over other bodies is on the loose and they don't know who may already
have been taken over.
