Following the death of
his boss and adviser, Bumpy Johnson, Frank Lucas sets up himself as the number
one importer of heroin in the Harlem district of Manhattan. He does so by
buying heroin openly from the supply in South East Asia and he comes up with exclusive
ways of importing the drugs into the United States. Soon he becomes more famous
because the quality of his drugs is very good and rate is low. Mean while an
honest policeman, Richie Roberts comes up to tackle all these illegal
activities and to take them down.
